- The city of Delhi contains the remnants of several successive ancient cities since 2500 BC
- Old Delhi has many remnants of Mughal life and architecture, including a number of traditional havelis (mansions). Its narrow winding lanes are filled with hawkers selling an array of products ranging from pickles and sweet-meats to herbal potions and silver jewelry.
