Day 01: Arrive Paro, Bhutan
Today fly to Paro, the beautiful valley with a rich culture, scenic beauty and hundreds of myths and legends. In the afternoon we’ll visit Ta Dzong, National Museum of the Kingdom and Drugyel Dzong.
Day 02: Paro
Today start the day by hike up to Taktsang Lhakhang Monastery, the Tigers’ Nest, built atop a cliff overlooking the charming Paro valley Or an excursion to Haa Valley (70km) with a stop for photography at Che-Le-La Pass (10,000ft) from where you can see the mountain ranges.
Day 03: Paro - Punakha (125 Km / 4-5 Hrs)
Today morning we drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan, passing through the breathtaking view of the snow clad Himalayas via the Dochula Pass at 10, 500 ft. Visit the town and fortress in Wangdue and visit the Punakha Dzong, the Buddhist monastery built in 1637. Day 04: Punakha - Thimphu (72 Kms / 3 Hrs) Today morning drive to Thimpu, en route visiting Wangdue town, a typical small Bhutanese town, with bustling market. Visit Wangdue Dzong, the 17th century monument. Also visit the Rinchengang village on the opposite side of the river, which is a unique cluster of houses made up of red mud. In the late afternoon continue drive to Thimphu, small and charming capital city sandwiched in the heart of the Himalayas. Day 05: Thimphu - Local Sightseeing Today full day sightseeing in Thimphu, including Trashichho Dzong , Memorial Chhorten, National Library, Art School, Traditional Medicine Institute, The Textile and Folk Heritage Museum and Government Handicrafts Emporium. Day 06: Thimphu – Paro (65 Kms / 2 Hrs) – Fly Out Today morning short drive to Paro to connect your onward flight. Price: On Request
