Rafting The gush of the rapids, lashing of water against the raft and the adrenaline pumping through your blood stream is what river rafting in the Himalaya is all about. Many rivers in the country, especially North Indian Rivers, present themselves as a collection of the best white water in the world. India Travelers organizes River Rafting trips through some of the most beautiful terrains that the Himalaya has to offer - from sandy white beaches, boulder-studded rapids, river confluences, deep gorges and some of the most revered Indian temple towns. What it takes: White water rafting is a sport almost everyone, of any age, can enjoy. It is easy to learn the few rules that keep you safe and ready for exhilarating experiences. IndiaTravelers Advantage: We have expert guides with years of experience doing rafting expeditions and modern rafts with tested life jackets, helmets and paddles for personal safety. We also ensure that a safety Kayaker is traveling with each trip to make the ride even safer Alaknanda Rafting Alaknanda is the main tributary of the Mighty Ganges. This beautiful river passes through some of the most scenic valleys in the Garhwal Himalayas. The expedition starts with a two-day drive from Delhi. The five-day river trip starts from the holy city of Rudraprayag. The next five days combine the ultimate experience of rafting through grade 3 and 4 rapids, walking into virgin forests and mountain villages, camping on exclusive beaches and enjoying the rich and abundant Himalayan bird life.
. Rafting Camp in Shivpuri The India Travelers Rafting Camp is located on a silver sand beach on the bank of the River Ganga, 14 Kms ahead of the holy city of Rishikesh. The camp is nestled within a forest in the Great Himalayan foothills and is the only one to be situated on the far side of the river offering a unique access, only by boat. With the river on one side and protected forest on the other, the beach camp provides for an unspoiled and exclusive atmosphere for campers.
. White Water Rafting at Tons River Camp A cool breeze whistling through dense Pine forests, while you swing lazily on a hammock, sipping a mug of piping hot coffee. “Hard Forward” shouts your river guide as you paddle through a series of adrenaline pumping rapids down the Tons. The Tons River drains the Har Ki Dun valley and is the largest tributary of the Yamuna. Our camp enjoys an exclusive location just 2 Kms. beyond the Himalayan hamlet of Mori.
